About the 2 / é replacement key
Digit popping off or cap cracked on your MX Keys? This 2 / é key, shipped with its scissor hinge, replaces it like for like. Genuine Logitech and pre-owned, the 2 / é key was removed from another keyboard; only the rubber dome is not included.

The 2 / é key: position, size and wear
On the full-size MX Keys, the 2 / é key sits on the number row, 3rd key from the left. On AZERTY it types “é” on its own and 2 with Shift. Nothing steadies the 2 / é key apart from its scissor hinge: one-unit keys have no metal wire. A hinge split on one side makes it rock, and a torn clip lets it go at the first knock.
How to install it
Allow under a minute to refit the 2 / é key, bare-handed or with a plastic spudger: free the old hinge if it is broken, clip the new one in the same orientation, then press straight down on the cap until you feel a soft click.

- If the 2 / é key was unresponsive rather than physically broken, the fault usually lies in its scissor hinge, included here, or in the rubber dome underneath, sold separately. Replace the hinge first, then the dome if the 2 / é key still feels mushy.
