Frequently Asked Questions

MX Keys / MX Keys Mini / MX Keys S

Are the keys compatible with my keyboard?

Our keys cover two brands. On the Logitech side: MX Keys (PC), MX Keys for Mac, MX Keys Mini, MX Keys S, MX Keys Business, plus Craft, K950, K380 and Ergo K860. On the Apple side: the Magic Keyboard, compact (models A1644, A2450, A2449, A3118, A3203) and with numeric keypad (A1843, A2520, A3119). MacBook built-in keyboards are not covered.

Is the key cap hinge (plastic support) included?

Yes, each key comes with its key cap hinge (plastic support) for easy installation.

What are the delivery times?

Delivery usually takes 3 to 7 business days within France and the European Union, up to 2 weeks for Switzerland, Liechtenstein, the United Kingdom, Norway and Iceland, and up to 4 weeks outside Europe (North America, Asia-Pacific, United Arab Emirates), where delivery takes a little longer, customs clearance included. Outside the European Union, customs or the destination country's postal service may charge the recipient import duties, taxes or handling fees; these are paid by the customer.

What is your return policy?

Free return if the part does not match its description or arrives faulty; 30-day guarantee. If the part does not suit you, contact us within 30 days of delivery for a full refund.

Which countries do you ship to?

We ship to 44 countries: across Europe (the 27 European Union countries, Monaco, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, the United Kingdom, Norway and Iceland), North America (United States, Canada), Asia-Pacific (Japan, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand) and the United Arab Emirates. We do not ship anywhere else.

How do I install a replacement key?

Gently remove the old key by lifting it, place the hinge on the keyboard, then clip the new key on top. It's simple and only takes a few seconds.

Is the payment secure?

Yes, we exclusively use PayPal to guarantee the security of your transactions. Your banking details never pass through our site. Additionally, you benefit from PayPal Buyer Protection: if you don't receive your order or if the item doesn't match the description, you can open a dispute directly with PayPal and get a full refund.

How is my order shipped?

We ship from France within 24 business hours. Each key is packed individually to protect it in transit, then sent as a small parcel. Everything travels as a tracked letter: €2 to France, €5 to the rest of Europe and €9 outside Europe, however many keys you order. Shipping is free within Europe from €30 of goods.

How do I pick the right MX Keys keyboard key?

To pick the right MX Keys keyboard key, look at the character printed on the broken key and check the layout (AZERTY, QWERTY, QWERTZ) marked under your MX Keys keyboard. Our catalog covers every MX Keys replacement key you may need: letters, numbers, modifiers (Shift, Ctrl, Alt), spacebar, function keys and arrow keys — for MX Keys, MX Keys Mini, MX Keys S and MX Keys for Mac.

What if my key hinge is broken but the keycap is fine?

If only the plastic scissor hinge is broken but the keycap itself is intact, you do not need to buy a complete key. We sell standalone plastic hinges as single units (€6.99), 3-packs (€14.99), or 5-packs (€17.99) under the Parts & Tools section of the catalog. The MX Keys hinge is universal across MX Keys, MX Keys for Mac, MX Keys Mini, MX Keys S, and MX Keys Business keyboards — it is the same mechanical part. For K380 keyboards, whose mechanism does not take MX Keys parts, select a complete K380 key instead at €4.99. Installation takes seconds: clip the new hinge onto the keyboard plate, then place the keycap on top.

Are MX Keys, MX Keys S and MX Keys Mini replacement keys the same?

Mechanically yes: MX Keys, MX Keys S, and MX Keys Mini share the same scissor switch mechanism and the same plastic hinge. The difference is only in the keyboards themselves: MX Keys Mini has fewer keys (no numpad, 75% layout), MX Keys S is the 2023 version (Logi Bolt receiver, function row with different legends), and the original MX Keys (920-009295 / 920-009415) is the initial 2019 edition. That does not hold for every key, though: only letters, digits and special characters — all 1U — swap between the full-size MX Keys and the MX Keys Mini. On the Mini the function row is shorter, the arrows are half-height keys and the modifiers are narrower, so for those pick Model = MX Keys Mini. For a letter, a digit or a special character, Model = MX Keys (PC) fits all three keyboards. For MX Keys for Mac (920-009558), choose Model = MX Keys (Mac) because some modifier keys (Cmd, Option) differ.

How much does a replacement MX Keys key cost?

Our pricing is transparent. A standard letter key (A to Z, digits 0-9) costs €8.99, scissor hinge included; function keys (F1 to F12, media, Bluetooth) cost €6.99–€7.99. Modifier keys (Shift, Ctrl, Alt, Cmd, Tab, Caps Lock, Win) cost €10.99 to €19.99. The spacebar costs €21.90. K380 keys are a flat €4.99 each. Universal spare parts start at €1.99 (screwdriver); the motherboard costs €14.99 and the battery €9.99. Tracked letter shipping is €2 within France, €5 to the rest of Europe and €9 outside Europe. A typical order to replace one fallen key therefore totals €10.99 in France (letter key + shipping), €13.99 elsewhere in Europe, €17.99 outside Europe, or €8.99 in France if you just need a universal hinge. Shipping is free within Europe from €30 of goods. No minimum order, PayPal payment only.

Why did my MX Keys key fall off?

There are three main reasons MX Keys keys come off. First, wear of the plastic X-shaped hinge that holds the cap: over time the plastic fatigues and one of the clips can break if the key is knocked off. Second, abrupt removal (e.g. to clean under the key) that bends the scissor mechanism. Third, spilled liquid or dust that stops the key from clipping back in properly. On the keyboards we dismantle, it is most often the hinge that is split, not the keycap itself. That is why every key ships with its hinge.

What is the difference between AZERTY FR and AZERTY BE layouts?

Both AZERTY layouts look similar but differ on several keys. In AZERTY FR (France), the number row requires Shift to access digits; in AZERTY BE (Belgium), digits are default and Shift accesses special characters. Positions of M, ù, $ and % keys also vary between the two versions. The physical key shape is identical — only the engraved character changes. If you are in France, choose AZERTY (FR). If you are in Belgium or Luxembourg, choose AZERTY (BE). When in doubt, check under your keyboard: the Logitech reference (e.g. 920-009415) does not specify the layout, but the original packaging or invoice does.

Can I order several keys at once?

Yes, you can order multiple keys in a single order. The second key is 20% off, each one after it 10% off, and shipping costs the same however many keys you order (€2 in France, €5 elsewhere in Europe, €9 outside Europe), then becomes free within Europe from €30 of goods: an order of 10 letter keys therefore totals €80.91 delivered. Fully rebuilding an MX Keys keyboard (109 keys) would cost more than €700 — in that case, buying a refurbished keyboard is more cost-effective. Multi-key replacement makes sense from 1 to 8 keys; beyond that, compare against a refurbished keyboard price. Are your keys genuine parts or compatible ones?

They are genuine used parts in excellent condition, taken from dismantled keyboards — Apple and Logitech alike: real Apple Magic Keyboard keys and real Logitech MX Keys keys, with their original legend. Only 3D prints and accessories are made to order, and their page says so. Neither Logitech nor Apple sells an individual key — their only answer is replacing the whole keyboard. The 30-day money-back guarantee covers any quality or compatibility issue.
