Recommended tools for some keys
Optional but handy: the spudger lifts the key without scratching or bending the mechanism, and the thin blade of the flat screwdriver unhooks the plastic hinge and helps clip it back in.

Where is the Delete key and what does it do?
On a full-size Logitech MX Keys, the Delete key sits in the block to the right of Backspace, to the left of End, below Insert. It deletes the character to the right of the cursor, or the selection, text and files alike; Backspace deletes to the left. In Windows, Ctrl + Alt + Delete opens the security screen.
About the Delete replacement key
Delete key broken or gone on your MX Keys? The key on its own, hinge included, goes back in place in a minute. No copy here: the Delete key comes, pre-owned, from a dismantled keyboard, and arrives without the rubber dome, which stays on yours.
Compatibility
This Delete keycap fits the full-size MX Keys (MX Keys, MX Keys S and MX Keys for Mac); the MX Keys Mini has no six-key navigation block. The legend is that of the AZERTY (FR) layout.
The Delete key: position, size and wear
The Delete key is part of the six-key block (Insert, Home, Page Up, Delete, End, Page Down) between the main block and the keypad; the MX Keys Mini has no such block. As a one-unit key with no metal wire, it breaks the way letters do: a split hinge or a torn clip, then a key that leans and finally comes off.
How to install it
No tools needed. Lift what is left of the old Delete key by one corner, straight up, clear away any pieces of hinge, clip the supplied hinge flat onto its anchor points, then set the new cap on top and press the centre until it clicks.
Delete key — questions
- Where is the Delete key and what does it do?
- On a full-size Logitech MX Keys, the Delete key sits in the block to the right of Backspace, to the left of End, below Insert. It deletes the character to the right of the cursor, or the selection, text and files alike; Backspace deletes to the left. In Windows, Ctrl + Alt + Delete opens the security screen.
- Will the Delete key fit my MX Keys?
- Yes on a full-size MX Keys (MX Keys, MX Keys S and MX Keys for Mac); the MX Keys Mini has no navigation block.
- Is the hinge included with the Delete key?
- Yes: cap and hinge arrive together. The dome, the small rubber cup that makes the Delete key spring back, is not part of the order; the one on your keyboard is reused, and a spare dome can be ordered on its own.
- My Delete key still doesn't work after I replaced the cap — why?
- If the Delete key was unresponsive rather than physically broken, the fault usually lies in its scissor hinge, included here, or in the rubber dome underneath, sold separately. Replace the hinge first, then the dome if the Delete key still feels mushy.
Check your keyboard's brand
You are looking at a Logitech key. Keycap and hinge differ between brands: this key will not fit an Apple keyboard.
