Recommended tools for some keys
Optional but handy: the spudger lifts the key without scratching or bending the mechanism, and the thin blade of the flat screwdriver unhooks the plastic hinge and helps clip it back in.

About the Up arrow replacement key
Up arrow key broken or gone on your MX Keys? The key on its own, hinge included, goes back in place in a minute. A genuine salvaged part: the Up arrow key is taken, pre-owned, from a dismantled keyboard and shipped without a dome.
Compatibility
This Up arrow keycap is cut for QWERTZ (DE) keyboards and fits the MX Keys Mini only. The full-size MX Keys uses a different geometry for this key — on the Mini, the function row is shorter, the arrows are half-height keys and the modifiers are narrower. Only letters, digits and special characters, all 1U, swap between the two chassis. The legend matches the QWERTZ (DE) layout.
The Up arrow key: position, size and wear
The Up arrow key is part of the six-key block (Insert, Home, Page Up, Delete, End, Page Down) between the main block and the keypad; the MX Keys Mini has no such block. As a one-unit key with no metal wire, it breaks the way letters do: a split hinge or a torn clip, then a key that leans and finally comes off.
How to install it
The Up arrow key needs no tools: unhook the old cap at a corner, take out any remains of the hinge, clip the supplied hinge in flat, then press the new cap down until you hear the click.
Up arrow key — questions
- Does this Up arrow keycap fit my Logitech MX Keys?
- Only if that keyboard is an MX Keys Mini. On the full-size MX Keys this key does not have the same geometry, so the cap will not seat. Letters, digits and special characters are the ones that swap freely between the two chassis — this key is not one of them.
- Is the hinge included with the Up arrow key?
- Yes: cap and hinge arrive together. The dome, the small rubber cup that makes the Up arrow key spring back, is not part of the order; the one on your keyboard is reused, and a spare dome can be ordered on its own.
- My Up arrow key stays dead despite a new cap — where is the fault?
- A key that goes down normally but types nothing points to the rubber dome, sold separately; if the Up arrow key wobbles, it is the hinge, supplied with it. When several keys next to the Up arrow key fail at the same time, the cause is inside the keyboard, not under the cap.
Check your keyboard's brand
You are looking at a Logitech key. Keycap and hinge differ between brands: this key will not fit an Apple keyboard.
