Recommended tools for some keys
Optional but handy: the spudger lifts the key without scratching or bending the mechanism, and the thin blade of the flat screwdriver unhooks the plastic hinge and helps clip it back in.

About the / / ? replacement key
A / / ? key for the Logitech MX Keys, with its hinge: the exact punctuation of your layout, to replace a key that broke or went missing. No copy here: the / / ? key comes, pre-owned, from a dismantled keyboard, and arrives without the rubber dome, which stays on yours.
Compatibility
Across the letter and number block, the MX Keys, MX Keys S, MX Keys Mini and MX Keys for Mac share the same one-unit cap, so this / / ? keycap fits a full-size model and a Mini alike. Choose it by its legend — here, the QWERTY (US) layout.
The / / ? key: position, size and wear
On the full-size MX Keys, the / / ? key sits on the bottom row of the letter block, just left of the right Shift key. In touch typing, it belongs to the right little finger. It carries “/ / ?”, characters specific to the QWERTY (US) layout: the legend is what matters here, since a cap from another layout would clip into the same spot with different symbols. Like every one-unit key, the / / ? key has no metal wire underneath: it is held only by its scissor hinge, clipped onto four anchor points. Once one clip gives way, the key tilts, pops off or falls out, while the cap itself is often intact.
How to install it
Fitting takes no tools. If the old hinge under the / / ? key is split, remove its fragments; seat the one supplied, hold the new cap flat above it and press the middle — a click tells you it is held.
/ / ? key — questions
- Will the / / ? key also fit an MX Keys Mini?
- Yes. On the MX Keys, MX Keys S, MX Keys Mini and MX Keys for Mac, every key of the letter and number block has the same one-unit cap, the / / ? key included; what has to match is the layout, here QWERTY (US).
- Is the hinge included with the / / ? key?
- Yes. The / / ? key ships with its scissor hinge, so it also fixes a key that lost its clip. The rubber dome under the / / ? key is not included: yours stays on the keyboard, and a spare can be ordered separately if it is damaged.
- My / / ? key still doesn't work after I replaced the cap — why?
- If the / / ? key was unresponsive rather than physically broken, the fault usually lies in its scissor hinge, included here, or in the rubber dome underneath, sold separately. Replace the hinge first, then the dome if the / / ? key still feels mushy.
Check your keyboard's brand
You are looking at a Logitech key. Keycap and hinge differ between brands: this key will not fit an Apple keyboard.
