Recommended tools for some keys

Optional but handy: the spudger lifts the key without scratching or bending the mechanism, and the thin blade of the flat screwdriver unhooks the plastic hinge and helps clip it back in.

Compatible with these Logitech keyboards

On these keyboards, this genuine MX Keys key takes the place of the official one: same scissor mechanism and mounting, with a legend and finish that may differ slightly.

Where is the keypad decimal (Del) key and what does it do?

On a full-size Logitech MX Keys, the keypad decimal (Del) key sits at the bottom of the keypad, between the 0 and the keypad Enter key, below the 3. With Num Lock on, it types the decimal separator; with Num Lock off, it acts as Delete and removes the character to the right of the cursor.

About the Delete (Num) replacement key

The Delete (Num) key from the Logitech MX Keys numeric keypad, supplied with its hinge, to get a complete keypad back when a key has broken or vanished. Genuine Logitech and pre-owned, the Delete (Num) key was removed from another keyboard; only the rubber dome is not included.

Compatibility

This Delete (Num) keycap fits the full-size MX Keys (MX Keys, MX Keys S and MX Keys for Mac), the only ones with a numeric keypad: the MX Keys Mini has none, so there is no place for it there. The legend is that of the QWERTY (IT) layout.

The Delete (Num) key: position, size and wear

Only the full-size MX Keys has a numeric keypad; its keys take bursts of one-handed presses whenever figures are keyed in. Nothing steadies the Delete (Num) key apart from its scissor hinge: one-unit keys have no metal wire. A hinge split on one side makes it rock, and a torn clip lets it go at the first knock.

How to install it

Fitting takes no tools. If the old hinge under the Delete (Num) key is split, remove its fragments; seat the one supplied, hold the new cap flat above it and press the middle — a click tells you it is held. To test it, turn Num Lock on first; otherwise the keypad moves the cursor instead of typing.

Delete (Num) key — questions

Where is the keypad decimal (Del) key and what does it do?
On a full-size Logitech MX Keys, the keypad decimal (Del) key sits at the bottom of the keypad, between the 0 and the keypad Enter key, below the 3. With Num Lock on, it types the decimal separator; with Num Lock off, it acts as Delete and removes the character to the right of the cursor.
Will the Delete (Num) key fit my MX Keys?
Yes, if it is a full-size MX Keys (MX Keys, MX Keys S and MX Keys for Mac) in the QWERTY (IT) layout. The MX Keys Mini has no numeric keypad.
Is the hinge included with the Delete (Num) key?
Yes. The Delete (Num) key ships with its scissor hinge, so it also fixes a key that lost its clip. The rubber dome under the Delete (Num) key is not included: yours stays on the keyboard, and a spare can be ordered separately if it is damaged.
My Delete (Num) key moves the cursor instead of typing — do I need a new one?
Not necessarily: if the whole keypad does the same, Num Lock is off. Press it once; the MX Keys has no indicator light, but Logi Options+ can show its status on screen. If only this key fails, its hinge or dome is at fault.

Check your keyboard's brand

You are looking at a Logitech key. Keycap and hinge differ between brands: this key will not fit an Apple keyboard.
