Recommended tools for some keys
Optional but handy: the spudger lifts the key without scratching or bending the mechanism, and the thin blade of the flat screwdriver unhooks the plastic hinge and helps clip it back in.

On these keyboards, this genuine MX Keys key takes the place of the official one: same scissor mechanism and mounting, with a legend and finish that may differ slightly.
Where is the 0 key on the numeric keypad and what does it do?
On a full-size Logitech MX Keys, the 0 key on the numeric keypad sits at the bottom left of the keypad, below the 1. With Num Lock on, it types 0; with Num Lock off, it acts as Insert, the function printed under the digit. If the keypad moves the cursor instead of typing, press Num Lock.
About the 0 (Num) replacement key
The 0 (Num) key from the Logitech MX Keys numeric keypad, supplied with its hinge, to get a complete keypad back when a key has broken or vanished. Genuine Logitech and pre-owned, the 0 (Num) key was removed from another keyboard; only the rubber dome is not included.
Compatibility
This 0 (Num) keycap fits the full-size MX Keys (MX Keys, MX Keys S and MX Keys for Mac), the only ones with a numeric keypad: the MX Keys Mini has none, so there is no place for it there. The legend is that of the QWERTY (PT) layout.
The 0 (Num) key: position, size and wear
Only the full-size MX Keys has a numeric keypad; its keys take bursts of one-handed presses whenever figures are keyed in. It spans two columns of the keypad, so a press near either end loads one side of the hinge more than the other — which is where it splits.
How to install it
Lift the old 0 (Num) cap by a corner, remove the damaged hinge and clip in the one supplied. Lay the 0 (Num) key flat, then press the centre and each end: on a key wider than a letter, one side left unseated makes it lean.
0 (Num) key — questions
- Where is the 0 key on the numeric keypad and what does it do?
- On a full-size Logitech MX Keys, the 0 key on the numeric keypad sits at the bottom left of the keypad, below the 1. With Num Lock on, it types 0; with Num Lock off, it acts as Insert, the function printed under the digit. If the keypad moves the cursor instead of typing, press Num Lock.
- Will the 0 (Num) key fit my MX Keys?
- Yes, if it is a full-size MX Keys (MX Keys, MX Keys S and MX Keys for Mac) in the QWERTY (PT) layout. The MX Keys Mini has no numeric keypad.
- Is the hinge included with the 0 (Num) key?
- Yes. The 0 (Num) key ships with its scissor hinge, so it also fixes a key that lost its clip. The rubber dome under the 0 (Num) key is not included: yours stays on the keyboard, and a spare can be ordered separately if it is damaged.
- My 0 (Num) key moves the cursor instead of typing — do I need a new one?
- Not necessarily: if the whole keypad does the same, Num Lock is off. Press it once; the MX Keys has no indicator light, but Logi Options+ can show its status on screen. If only this key fails, its hinge or dome is at fault.
