Recommended tools for some keys
Optional but handy: the spudger lifts the key without scratching or bending the mechanism, and the thin blade of the flat screwdriver unhooks the plastic hinge and helps clip it back in.

About the H replacement key
Missing the H on your Logitech MX Keys, or has it stopped responding? This is the key on its own, hinge included, ready to clip in where the old one was. The H key is a genuine Logitech part, pre-owned, taken from a dismantled keyboard; the rubber dome is not supplied, as the one on your keyboard stays in place.
Compatibility
Across the letter and number block, the MX Keys, MX Keys S, MX Keys Mini and MX Keys for Mac share the same one-unit cap, so this H keycap fits a full-size model and a Mini alike. Choose it by its legend — here, the QWERTZ (CH) layout.
The H key: position, size and wear
On the full-size MX Keys, the H key sits on the middle row, 6th key to the right of Caps Lock. In touch typing, it belongs to the right index finger. Beyond typing, it drives the Ctrl + H shortcut, which opens the history in Chrome, Edge and Firefox. Nothing steadies the H key apart from its scissor hinge: one-unit keys have no metal wire. A hinge split on one side makes it rock, and a torn clip lets it go at the first knock.
How to install it
Fitting takes no tools. If the old hinge under the H key is split, remove its fragments; seat the one supplied, hold the new cap flat above it and press the middle — a click tells you it is held.
H key — questions
- Will the H key also fit an MX Keys Mini?
- Yes, whichever version you have: this H keycap is a one-unit cap shared by the MX Keys, MX Keys S, MX Keys Mini and MX Keys for Mac. Just check that your keyboard uses the QWERTZ (CH) layout, so the printed characters match.
- Is the hinge included with the H key?
- Yes: cap and hinge arrive together. The dome, the small rubber cup that makes the H key spring back, is not part of the order; the one on your keyboard is reused, and a spare dome can be ordered on its own.
- My H key stays dead despite a new cap — where is the fault?
- If the H key was unresponsive rather than physically broken, the fault usually lies in its scissor hinge, included here, or in the rubber dome underneath, sold separately. Replace the hinge first, then the dome if the H key still feels mushy.
Check your keyboard's brand
You are looking at a Logitech key. Keycap and hinge differ between brands: this key will not fit an Apple keyboard.
