Recommended tools for some keys
Optional but handy: the spudger lifts the key without scratching or bending the mechanism, and the thin blade of the flat screwdriver unhooks the plastic hinge and helps clip it back in.

On these keyboards, this genuine MX Keys key takes the place of the official one: same scissor mechanism and mounting, with a legend and finish that may differ slightly.
Where is the + key on the numeric keypad and what does it do?
On a full-size Logitech MX Keys, the + key on the numeric keypad sits on the right edge of the keypad, two rows tall, to the right of the 9, below −. It types the plus sign, for additions, in a calculator or a spreadsheet. Unlike the keypad digits, it does not depend on Num Lock.
About the + (Num) replacement key
An incomplete keypad slows down every figure you type: this + (Num) key for the MX Keys, shipped with its hinge, replaces the missing one. The + (Num) key is a genuine Logitech part, pre-owned, taken from a dismantled keyboard; the rubber dome is not supplied, as the one on your keyboard stays in place.
Compatibility
This + (Num) keycap fits the full-size MX Keys (MX Keys, MX Keys S and MX Keys for Mac), the only ones with a numeric keypad: the MX Keys Mini has none, so there is no place for it there. The legend is that of the QWERTZ (CH) layout.
The + (Num) key: position, size and wear
Only the full-size MX Keys has a numeric keypad; its keys take bursts of one-handed presses whenever figures are keyed in. Two rows tall, the + (Num) key is often pressed at one end: the off-centre load works one side of the hinge until it splits, and the key then leans or catches.
How to install it
Lift the old + (Num) cap by one end, remove the damaged hinge and clip in the one supplied. If a metal wire sits under the key, hook it into its clips first; then press the centre, then each end, until the + (Num) key sits flush and springs back evenly.
+ (Num) key — questions
- Where is the + key on the numeric keypad and what does it do?
- On a full-size Logitech MX Keys, the + key on the numeric keypad sits on the right edge of the keypad, two rows tall, to the right of the 9, below −. It types the plus sign, for additions, in a calculator or a spreadsheet. Unlike the keypad digits, it does not depend on Num Lock.
- Does this + (Num) keycap fit my Logitech MX Keys?
- Yes, if it is a full-size MX Keys (MX Keys, MX Keys S and MX Keys for Mac) in the QWERTZ (CH) layout. The MX Keys Mini has no numeric keypad.
- Is the hinge included with the + (Num) key?
- Yes: cap and hinge arrive together. The dome, the small rubber cup that makes the + (Num) key spring back, is not part of the order; the one on your keyboard is reused, and a spare dome can be ordered on its own.
- My + (Num) key feels loose or uneven after fitting — what should I check?
- Take the + (Num) cap off again and check that the hinge is clipped onto all its anchor points; if a metal wire sits under the key, make sure it is engaged in its clips. Then press the centre of the + (Num) key before its ends.
Check your keyboard's brand
You are looking at a Logitech key. Keycap and hinge differ between brands: this key will not fit an Apple keyboard.
