Recommended tools for some keys
Optional but handy: the spudger lifts the key without scratching or bending the mechanism, and the thin blade of the flat screwdriver unhooks the plastic hinge and helps clip it back in.

On these keyboards, this genuine MX Keys key takes the place of the official one: same scissor mechanism and mounting, with a legend and finish that may differ slightly.
About the + / = replacement key
A missing punctuation key shows up in every sentence: this + / = key for the MX Keys, hinge included, takes its place back in a minute. Genuine Logitech and pre-owned, the + / = key was removed from another keyboard; only the rubber dome is not included.
Compatibility
Across the letter and number block, the MX Keys, MX Keys S, MX Keys Mini and MX Keys for Mac share the same one-unit cap, so this + / = keycap fits a full-size model and a Mini alike. Choose it by its legend — here, the AZERTY (FR) layout.
The + / = key: position, size and wear
On the full-size MX Keys, the + / = key sits on the number row, just left of Backspace. Its legend, “+ / =”, belongs to the AZERTY (FR) layout; physically, a symbol key from another layout has the same shape, but it would print the wrong characters. Nothing steadies the + / = key apart from its scissor hinge: one-unit keys have no metal wire. A hinge split on one side makes it rock, and a torn clip lets it go at the first knock.
How to install it
No tools needed. Lift what is left of the old + / = key by one corner, straight up, clear away any pieces of hinge, clip the supplied hinge flat onto its anchor points, then set the new cap on top and press the centre until it clicks.
+ / = key — questions
- Will this + / = keycap fit my MX Keys S?
- Yes, whichever version you have: this + / = keycap is a one-unit cap shared by the MX Keys, MX Keys S, MX Keys Mini and MX Keys for Mac. Just check that your keyboard uses the AZERTY (FR) layout, so the printed characters match.
- Is the hinge included with the + / = key?
- Yes: cap and hinge arrive together. The dome, the small rubber cup that makes the + / = key spring back, is not part of the order; the one on your keyboard is reused, and a spare dome can be ordered on its own.
- My + / = key still doesn't work after I replaced the cap — why?
- First try the + / = key on another computer or in another program, to rule out a setting. If it stays silent, look under the cap: with a split hinge it moves crooked; with a crushed or loose dome it goes down without typing.
Check your keyboard's brand
You are looking at a Logitech key. Keycap and hinge differ between brands: this key will not fit an Apple keyboard.
