Recommended tools for some keys
Optional but handy: the spudger lifts the key without scratching or bending the mechanism, and the thin blade of the flat screwdriver unhooks the plastic hinge and helps clip it back in.

About the Enter replacement key
A replacement Enter key for the Logitech MX Keys, supplied with its hinge: a key used all day long, replaced on its own rather than with a new keyboard. A genuine salvaged part: the Enter key is taken, pre-owned, from a dismantled keyboard and shipped without a dome.
Compatibility
This Enter keycap is cut for QWERTZ (DE) keyboards and fits the MX Keys Mini only. The full-size MX Keys uses a different geometry for this key — on the Mini, the function row is shorter, the arrows are half-height keys and the modifiers are narrower. Only letters, digits and special characters, all 1U, swap between the two chassis. The legend matches the QWERTZ (DE) layout.
The Enter key: position, size and wear
The Enter key is a control key that is held or struck all day long, alongside the letters. It is struck with a sweeping movement, seldom dead centre. On a cap this wide, an off-centre press loads only one side of the scissor hinge: that side is the one that splits, and the Enter key then leans towards it or catches. The longer the key, the more a press at one end acts as a lever.
How to install it
No tools needed for the Enter key: free the old cap from one end, clear the broken hinge and clip the new one in the same orientation. Should a metal wire run under the key, seat it in its clips before anything else, then press the middle and finish with both ends.
Enter key — questions
- Does this Enter keycap fit my Logitech MX Keys?
- Only if that keyboard is an MX Keys Mini. On the full-size MX Keys this key does not have the same geometry, so the cap will not seat. Letters, digits and special characters are the ones that swap freely between the two chassis — this key is not one of them.
- Is the hinge included with the Enter key?
- Yes, the X-shaped hinge comes with the Enter key — it is often the part that broke. Only the rubber dome is not supplied: it stays in place on the keyboard under the Enter key, and domes are sold in packs among our spare parts.
- My Enter key feels loose or uneven after fitting — what should I check?
- Take the Enter cap off again and check that the hinge is clipped onto all its anchor points; if a metal wire sits under the key, make sure it is engaged in its clips. Then press the centre of the Enter key before its ends.
Check your keyboard's brand
You are looking at a Logitech key. Keycap and hinge differ between brands: this key will not fit an Apple keyboard.
