Recommended tools for some keys
Optional but handy: the spudger lifts the key without scratching or bending the mechanism, and the thin blade of the flat screwdriver unhooks the plastic hinge and helps clip it back in.

About the - (Num) replacement key
The - (Num) key from the Logitech MX Keys numeric keypad, supplied with its hinge, to get a complete keypad back when a key has broken or vanished. A genuine salvaged part: the - (Num) key is taken, pre-owned, from a dismantled keyboard and shipped without a dome.
Compatibility
This - (Num) keycap fits the full-size MX Keys (MX Keys, MX Keys S and MX Keys for Mac), the only ones with a numeric keypad: the MX Keys Mini has none, so there is no place for it there. The legend is that of the AZERTY (FR) layout.
The - (Num) key: position, size and wear
The numeric keypad exists only on the full-size MX Keys, and its keys are hammered in quick one-handed runs during data entry. A key this size has no stabiliser, so all of its support comes from the X-shaped hinge and its four anchor points. When the - (Num) key starts to lean or comes away, that hinge is nearly always what failed, well before the cap.
How to install it
The - (Num) key needs no tools: unhook the old cap at a corner, take out any remains of the hinge, clip the supplied hinge in flat, then press the new cap down until you hear the click.
- (Num) key — questions
- Is the - (Num) key compatible with my MX Keys keyboard?
- Yes, if it is a full-size MX Keys (MX Keys, MX Keys S and MX Keys for Mac) in the AZERTY (FR) layout. The MX Keys Mini has no numeric keypad.
- Is the hinge included with the - (Num) key?
- Yes: cap and hinge arrive together. The dome, the small rubber cup that makes the - (Num) key spring back, is not part of the order; the one on your keyboard is reused, and a spare dome can be ordered on its own.
- My - (Num) key still doesn't work after I replaced the cap — why?
- If the - (Num) key was unresponsive rather than physically broken, the fault usually lies in its scissor hinge, included here, or in the rubber dome underneath, sold separately. Replace the hinge first, then the dome if the - (Num) key still feels mushy.
Check your keyboard's brand
You are looking at a Logitech key. Keycap and hinge differ between brands: this key will not fit an Apple keyboard.
