Recommended tools for some keys
Optional but handy: the spudger lifts the key without scratching or bending the mechanism, and the thin blade of the flat screwdriver unhooks the plastic hinge and helps clip it back in.

About the Enter replacement key
A replacement Enter key for the Logitech MX Keys, supplied with its hinge: a key used all day long, replaced on its own rather than with a new keyboard. Genuine Logitech and pre-owned, the Enter key was removed from another keyboard; only the rubber dome is not included.
Compatibility
This Enter keycap fits the full-size MX Keys (MX Keys, MX Keys S and MX Keys for Mac) in the QWERTY (US) layout. The MX Keys Mini has its own proportions for this key, so this cap is not meant for it.
The Enter key: position, size and wear
The Enter key is a control key that is held or struck all day long, alongside the letters. It is struck with a sweeping movement, seldom dead centre. On a cap this wide, an off-centre press loads only one side of the scissor hinge: that side is the one that splits, and the Enter key then leans towards it or catches. The longer the key, the more a press at one end acts as a lever.
How to install it
Lift the old Enter cap by one end, remove the damaged hinge and clip in the one supplied. If a metal wire sits under the key, hook it into its clips first; then press the centre, then each end, until the Enter key sits flush and springs back evenly.
Enter key — questions
- Does this Enter keycap fit my Logitech MX Keys?
- Yes, if it is a full-size MX Keys (MX Keys, MX Keys S and MX Keys for Mac) in the QWERTY (US) layout: the Enter key has exactly this shape there. Not on the MX Keys Mini, where this key has other proportions.
- Is the hinge included with the Enter key?
- Yes. The Enter key ships with its scissor hinge, so it also fixes a key that lost its clip. The rubber dome under the Enter key is not included: yours stays on the keyboard, and a spare can be ordered separately if it is damaged.
- My Enter key feels loose or uneven after fitting — what should I check?
- Take the Enter cap off again and check that the hinge is clipped onto all its anchor points; if a metal wire sits under the key, make sure it is engaged in its clips. Then press the centre of the Enter key before its ends.
Check your keyboard's brand
You are looking at a Logitech key. Keycap and hinge differ between brands: this key will not fit an Apple keyboard.
