Recommended tools for some keys
Optional but handy: the spudger lifts the key without scratching or bending the mechanism, and the thin blade of the flat screwdriver unhooks the plastic hinge and helps clip it back in.

On these keyboards, this genuine MX Keys key takes the place of the official one: same scissor mechanism and mounting, with a legend and finish that may differ slightly.
Where is the Left arrow key and what does it do?
On a full-size Logitech MX Keys, the Left arrow key sits in the inverted T of the arrow keys, to the left of the Down arrow. It moves the cursor one character to the left. With Ctrl it jumps a whole word; with Shift it extends the selection, and the two together select word by word.
About the Arrow Left replacement key
Arrow Left key broken or gone on your MX Keys? The key on its own, hinge included, goes back in place in a minute. Genuine Logitech and pre-owned, the Arrow Left key was removed from another keyboard; only the rubber dome is not included.
Compatibility
This Arrow Left keycap fits the full-size MX Keys (MX Keys, MX Keys S and MX Keys for Mac), where the arrows are full-height keys; the MX Keys Mini uses half-height arrows of another shape. The legend is that of the QWERTY (US) layout.
The Arrow Left key: position, size and wear
On the full-size MX Keys the arrows are full one-unit keys laid out in an inverted T; on the MX Keys Mini they are half-height keys of another shape, so the two do not swap. An arrow takes long runs of quick presses, and its hinge, with no metal wire under it, is what eventually cracks.
How to install it
The Arrow Left key needs no tools: unhook the old cap at a corner, take out any remains of the hinge, clip the supplied hinge in flat, then press the new cap down until you hear the click.
Arrow Left key — questions
- Where is the Left arrow key and what does it do?
- On a full-size Logitech MX Keys, the Left arrow key sits in the inverted T of the arrow keys, to the left of the Down arrow. It moves the cursor one character to the left. With Ctrl it jumps a whole word; with Shift it extends the selection, and the two together select word by word.
- Is the Arrow Left key compatible with my MX Keys keyboard?
- Yes on a full-size MX Keys (MX Keys, MX Keys S and MX Keys for Mac); no on the MX Keys Mini, whose arrows are half-height keys.
- Is the hinge included with the Arrow Left key?
- Yes. The Arrow Left key ships with its scissor hinge, so it also fixes a key that lost its clip. The rubber dome under the Arrow Left key is not included: yours stays on the keyboard, and a spare can be ordered separately if it is damaged.
- I changed the cap on the Arrow Left key, but it still types nothing — what now?
- A key that goes down normally but types nothing points to the rubber dome, sold separately; if the Arrow Left key wobbles, it is the hinge, supplied with it. When several keys next to the Arrow Left key fail at the same time, the cause is inside the keyboard, not under the cap.

You are looking at a Logitech key. Keycap and hinge differ between brands: this key will not fit an Apple keyboard.
