Recommended tools for some keys
Optional but handy: the spudger lifts the key without scratching or bending the mechanism, and the thin blade of the flat screwdriver unhooks the plastic hinge and helps clip it back in.

About the B replacement key
A replacement B key for the Logitech MX Keys, supplied with its hinge: a letter that pops off, leans or stops typing is a one-minute repair, not a new keyboard. Genuine Logitech and pre-owned, the B key was removed from another keyboard; only the rubber dome is not included.
Compatibility
Across the letter and number block, the MX Keys, MX Keys S, MX Keys Mini and MX Keys for Mac share the same one-unit cap, so this B keycap fits a full-size model and a Mini alike. Choose it by its legend — here, the QWERTY (US) layout.
The B key: position, size and wear
On the full-size MX Keys, the B key sits on the bottom row of the letter block, 6th key to the right of the left Shift key. In touch typing, it belongs to the left index finger. Like every one-unit key, the B key has no metal wire underneath: it is held only by its scissor hinge, clipped onto four anchor points. Once one clip gives way, the key tilts, pops off or falls out, while the cap itself is often intact.
How to install it
No tools needed. Lift what is left of the old B key by one corner, straight up, clear away any pieces of hinge, clip the supplied hinge flat onto its anchor points, then set the new cap on top and press the centre until it clicks.
B key — questions
- Does this B keycap fit my Logitech MX Keys?
- Yes, whichever version you have: this B keycap is a one-unit cap shared by the MX Keys, MX Keys S, MX Keys Mini and MX Keys for Mac. Just check that your keyboard uses the QWERTY (US) layout, so the printed characters match.
- Is the hinge included with the B key?
- Yes. The B key ships with its scissor hinge, so it also fixes a key that lost its clip. The rubber dome under the B key is not included: yours stays on the keyboard, and a spare can be ordered separately if it is damaged.
- My B key still doesn't work after I replaced the cap — why?
- First try the B key on another computer or in another program, to rule out a setting. If it stays silent, look under the cap: with a split hinge it moves crooked; with a crushed or loose dome it goes down without typing.
Check your keyboard's brand
You are looking at a Logitech key. Keycap and hinge differ between brands: this key will not fit an Apple keyboard.
