Recommended tools for some keys

Optional but handy: the spudger lifts the key without scratching or bending the mechanism, and the thin blade of the flat screwdriver unhooks the plastic hinge and helps clip it back in.

Compatible with these Logitech keyboards

On these keyboards, this genuine MX Keys key takes the place of the official one: same scissor mechanism and mounting, with a legend and finish that may differ slightly.

About the , / ; replacement key

A , / ; key for the Logitech MX Keys, with its hinge: the exact punctuation of your layout, to replace a key that broke or went missing. A genuine salvaged part: the , / ; key is taken, pre-owned, from a dismantled keyboard and shipped without a dome.

Compatibility

Across the letter and number block, the MX Keys, MX Keys S, MX Keys Mini and MX Keys for Mac share the same one-unit cap, so this , / ; keycap fits a full-size model and a Mini alike. Choose it by its legend — here, the QWERTZ (DE) layout.

The , / ; key: position, size and wear

On the full-size MX Keys, the , / ; key sits on the bottom row of the letter block, 3rd key to the left of the right Shift key. In touch typing, it belongs to the right middle finger. Its legend, “, / ;”, belongs to the QWERTZ (DE) layout; physically, a symbol key from another layout has the same shape, but it would print the wrong characters. Like every one-unit key, the , / ; key has no metal wire underneath: it is held only by its scissor hinge, clipped onto four anchor points. Once one clip gives way, the key tilts, pops off or falls out, while the cap itself is often intact.

How to install it

Fitting takes no tools. If the old hinge under the , / ; key is split, remove its fragments; seat the one supplied, hold the new cap flat above it and press the middle — a click tells you it is held.

Step-by-step guide: swapping an MX Keys key and its hinge

, / ; key — questions

Does this , / ; keycap fit my Logitech MX Keys?
It does, full-size or Mini: the , / ; key has the same one-unit cap on all four models. Only the legend depends on the layout — QWERTZ (DE) for this one.
Is the hinge included with the , / ; key?
Yes, the X-shaped hinge comes with the , / ; key — it is often the part that broke. Only the rubber dome is not supplied: it stays in place on the keyboard under the , / ; key, and domes are sold in packs among our spare parts.
My , / ; key stays dead despite a new cap — where is the fault?
First try the , / ; key on another computer or in another program, to rule out a setting. If it stays silent, look under the cap: with a split hinge it moves crooked; with a crushed or loose dome it goes down without typing.

Check your keyboard's brand

You are looking at a Logitech key. Keycap and hinge differ between brands: this key will not fit an Apple keyboard.
