Recommended tools for some keys
Optional but handy: the spudger lifts the key without scratching or bending the mechanism, and the thin blade of the flat screwdriver unhooks the plastic hinge and helps clip it back in.

About the Ç replacement key
A missing punctuation key shows up in every sentence: this Ç key for the MX Keys, hinge included, takes its place back in a minute. We take the Ç key from dismantled keyboards: it is a genuine, pre-owned Logitech cap, sold without the dome.
Compatibility
Across the letter and number block, the MX Keys, MX Keys S, MX Keys Mini and MX Keys for Mac share the same one-unit cap, so this Ç keycap fits a full-size model and a Mini alike. Choose it by its legend — here, the QWERTY (ES) layout.
The Ç key: position, size and wear
On the full-size MX Keys, the Ç key sits on the middle row, just left of Enter. In touch typing, it belongs to the right little finger. Its legend, “Ç”, belongs to the QWERTY (ES) layout; physically, a symbol key from another layout has the same shape, but it would print the wrong characters. Nothing steadies the Ç key apart from its scissor hinge: one-unit keys have no metal wire. A hinge split on one side makes it rock, and a torn clip lets it go at the first knock.
How to install it
No tools needed. Lift what is left of the old Ç key by one corner, straight up, clear away any pieces of hinge, clip the supplied hinge flat onto its anchor points, then set the new cap on top and press the centre until it clicks.
Ç key — questions
- Will the Ç key also fit an MX Keys Mini?
- Yes, whichever version you have: this Ç keycap is a one-unit cap shared by the MX Keys, MX Keys S, MX Keys Mini and MX Keys for Mac. Just check that your keyboard uses the QWERTY (ES) layout, so the printed characters match.
- Is the hinge included with the Ç key?
- Yes. The Ç key ships with its scissor hinge, so it also fixes a key that lost its clip. The rubber dome under the Ç key is not included: yours stays on the keyboard, and a spare can be ordered separately if it is damaged.
- My Ç key stays dead despite a new cap — where is the fault?
- If the Ç key was unresponsive rather than physically broken, the fault usually lies in its scissor hinge, included here, or in the rubber dome underneath, sold separately. Replace the hinge first, then the dome if the Ç key still feels mushy.
Check your keyboard's brand
You are looking at a Logitech key. Keycap and hinge differ between brands: this key will not fit an Apple keyboard.
