Recommended tools for some keys
Optional but handy: the spudger lifts the key without scratching or bending the mechanism, and the thin blade of the flat screwdriver unhooks the plastic hinge and helps clip it back in.

About the Bluetooth 2 replacement key
Has your MX Keys lost its Bluetooth 2 key? This is the part on its own, hinge included, so the top row is complete again without a new keyboard. Genuine Logitech and pre-owned, the Bluetooth 2 key was removed from another keyboard; only the rubber dome is not included.
Compatibility
This Bluetooth 2 keycap fits the full-size MX Keys (MX Keys, MX Keys S and MX Keys for Mac), not the MX Keys Mini, whose top-row caps are shorter. The legend is that of the QWERTY (IT) layout. On the MX Keys S, the top-row keys carry different icons, so this key will not match them exactly.
The Bluetooth 2 key: position, size and wear
On the full-size MX Keys, it sits in the top row, above Home. It is one of the three Easy-Switch keys: a press switches the keyboard to the device paired on channel 2, and a long press of about three seconds puts that channel into pairing mode. Pressed less often than a letter, the Bluetooth 2 key wears more slowly, but its scissor hinge is just as thin: a fingernail, a cloth or an object resting on the keyboard that catches it sideways can tear a clip off.
How to install it
The Bluetooth 2 key needs no tools: unhook the old cap at a corner, take out any remains of the hinge, clip the supplied hinge in flat, then press the new cap down until you hear the click.
Bluetooth 2 key — questions
- Is the Bluetooth 2 key compatible with my MX Keys keyboard?
- Yes on a full-size MX Keys (MX Keys, MX Keys S and MX Keys for Mac); no on the MX Keys Mini, whose top-row caps are shorter.
- Is the hinge included with the Bluetooth 2 key?
- Yes. The hinge travels in the parcel with the Bluetooth 2 key, ready to fit; what you will not find is the rubber dome, which never leaves your keyboard and is sold separately if needed.
- I changed the cap on the Bluetooth 2 key, but it still types nothing — what now?
- If the Bluetooth 2 key was unresponsive rather than physically broken, the fault usually lies in its scissor hinge, included here, or in the rubber dome underneath, sold separately. Replace the hinge first, then the dome if the Bluetooth 2 key still feels mushy.
Check your keyboard's brand
You are looking at a Logitech key. Keycap and hinge differ between brands: this key will not fit an Apple keyboard.
