Overview

Logitech USB Bolt receiver: the small USB-A receiver that connects a Logi Bolt keyboard or mouse to a computer wirelessly, without going through Bluetooth. A genuine Logitech receiver, recovered from used MX Keys keyboards.

Compatibility

Unifying and Logi Bolt are two separate technologies that do not mix: a Logi Bolt device only pairs with a Logi Bolt receiver. The first-generation MX Keys runs on Unifying; the MX Keys S and the "for Business" versions of the MX Keys use Logi Bolt. If in doubt, write to us with your keyboard's exact model.

When to replace it

A receiver that was lost, broken or left plugged into another computer, or unreliable Bluetooth: the receiver gives a dedicated link, independent of the computer's Bluetooth. On a computer with USB-C ports only, a simple adapter does the job.

How to pair it

A recovered receiver is still paired with the keyboard it came from: it has to be paired with yours. Plug it in, open Logitech's utility — Logi Options+ or the Logi Bolt app — and follow the wizard. Once paired, the keyboard reconnects on its own at every start-up.

Frequently asked questions

Does this Bolt receiver work with a Unifying keyboard?
No. The two technologies are not compatible with each other: you need a receiver of the same technology as the keyboard. Over Bluetooth, on the other hand, no receiver is needed.
Do I need to pair it with my keyboard?
Yes. It comes from another keyboard and does not recognise yours until you pair them with Logitech's utility. It takes a minute.
Can a mouse share it too?
Yes, if it uses the same technology (Logi Bolt): a single receiver can serve both keyboard and mouse.
