The MX Mechanical and MX Mechanical Mini use low-profile mechanical switches: their keycaps do not fit the scissor-switch MX Keys. Keyspares is building a stock of single original keycaps so you do not have to buy a whole keyboard for one key.

Why an MX Keys keycap will not fit
The MX Keys uses a scissor mechanism; the MX Mechanical uses low-profile mechanical switches. The keycap mounts differently, so you need a part made for the MX Mechanical.
Removing a keycap without damaging the switch
Pull the keycap straight up with a wire keycap puller, or two fingernails on opposite sides. Never pry from one side: that is how the switch stem breaks. To refit, align the cap and press in the centre.

As soon as we have sourced and disassembled keyboards in the most requested layouts. Leaving your email on a key is the best way to speed up yours.
