About the 2 / @ replacement key
A 2 / @ key from the number row of the Logitech MX Keys, supplied with its hinge, to replace a broken or lost digit without buying a new keyboard. The 2 / @ key is a genuine Logitech part, pre-owned, taken from a dismantled keyboard; the rubber dome is not supplied, as the one on your keyboard stays in place.
Compatibility
Across the letter and number block, the MX Keys, MX Keys S, MX Keys Mini and MX Keys for Mac share the same one-unit cap, so this 2 / @ keycap fits a full-size model and a Mini alike. Choose it by its legend — here, the QWERTY (US) layout.
The 2 / @ key: position, size and wear
The 2 / @ key belongs to the number row, above the letters. It types 2 on its own; the symbol printed beside it needs Shift. A key this size has no stabiliser, so all of its support comes from the X-shaped hinge and its four anchor points. When the 2 / @ key starts to lean or comes away, that hinge is nearly always what failed, well before the cap.
How to install it
No tools needed. Lift what is left of the old 2 / @ key by one corner, straight up, clear away any pieces of hinge, clip the supplied hinge flat onto its anchor points, then set the new cap on top and press the centre until it clicks.

- Yes, whichever version you have: this 2 / @ keycap is a one-unit cap shared by the MX Keys, MX Keys S, MX Keys Mini and MX Keys for Mac. Just check that your keyboard uses the QWERTY (US) layout, so the printed characters match.
- Is the hinge included with the 2 / @ key?
- Yes. The hinge travels in the parcel with the 2 / @ key, ready to fit; what you will not find is the rubber dome, which never leaves your keyboard and is sold separately if needed.
- I changed the cap on the 2 / @ key, but it still types nothing — what now?
- A key that goes down normally but types nothing points to the rubber dome, sold separately; if the 2 / @ key wobbles, it is the hinge, supplied with it. When several keys next to the 2 / @ key fail at the same time, the cause is inside the keyboard, not under the cap.
