Recommended tools for some keys
Optional but handy: the spudger lifts the key without scratching or bending the mechanism, and the thin blade of the flat screwdriver unhooks the plastic hinge and helps clip it back in.

About the Bluetooth 1 replacement key
Has your MX Keys lost its Bluetooth 1 key? This is the part on its own, hinge included, so the top row is complete again without a new keyboard. A genuine salvaged part: the Bluetooth 1 key is taken, pre-owned, from a dismantled keyboard and shipped without a dome.
Compatibility
This Bluetooth 1 keycap is cut for QWERTZ (DE) keyboards and fits the MX Keys Mini only. The full-size MX Keys uses a different geometry for this key — on the Mini, the function row is shorter, the arrows are half-height keys and the modifiers are narrower. Only letters, digits and special characters, all 1U, swap between the two chassis. The legend matches the QWERTZ (DE) layout.
The Bluetooth 1 key: position, size and wear
The Bluetooth 1 key belongs to the top row, which drives shortcuts, media and brightness. Pressed less often than a letter, the Bluetooth 1 key wears more slowly, but its scissor hinge is just as thin: a fingernail, a cloth or an object resting on the keyboard that catches it sideways can tear a clip off.
How to install it
No tools needed. Lift what is left of the old Bluetooth 1 key by one corner, straight up, clear away any pieces of hinge, clip the supplied hinge flat onto its anchor points, then set the new cap on top and press the centre until it clicks.
Bluetooth 1 key — questions
- Does this Bluetooth 1 keycap fit my Logitech MX Keys?
- Only if that keyboard is an MX Keys Mini. On the full-size MX Keys this key does not have the same geometry, so the cap will not seat. Letters, digits and special characters are the ones that swap freely between the two chassis — this key is not one of them.
- Is the hinge included with the Bluetooth 1 key?
- Yes: cap and hinge arrive together. The dome, the small rubber cup that makes the Bluetooth 1 key spring back, is not part of the order; the one on your keyboard is reused, and a spare dome can be ordered on its own.
- I changed the cap on the Bluetooth 1 key, but it still types nothing — what now?
- A key that goes down normally but types nothing points to the rubber dome, sold separately; if the Bluetooth 1 key wobbles, it is the hinge, supplied with it. When several keys next to the Bluetooth 1 key fail at the same time, the cause is inside the keyboard, not under the cap.
Check your keyboard's brand
You are looking at a Logitech key. Keycap and hinge differ between brands: this key will not fit an Apple keyboard.
