Recommended tools for some keys
Optional but handy: the spudger lifts the key without scratching or bending the mechanism, and the thin blade of the flat screwdriver unhooks the plastic hinge and helps clip it back in.

About the H replacement key
Missing the H on your Logitech MX Keys, or has it stopped responding? This is the key on its own, hinge included, ready to clip in where the old one was. Genuine Logitech and pre-owned, the H key was removed from another keyboard; only the rubber dome is not included.
Compatibility
Across the letter and number block, the MX Keys, MX Keys S, MX Keys Mini and MX Keys for Mac share the same one-unit cap, so this H keycap fits a full-size model and a Mini alike. Choose it by its legend — here, the QWERTY (IT) layout.
The H key: position, size and wear
On the full-size MX Keys, the H key sits on the middle row, 6th key to the right of Caps Lock. In touch typing, it belongs to the right index finger. Beyond typing, it drives the Ctrl + H shortcut, which opens the history in Chrome, Edge and Firefox. Like every one-unit key, the H key has no metal wire underneath: it is held only by its scissor hinge, clipped onto four anchor points. Once one clip gives way, the key tilts, pops off or falls out, while the cap itself is often intact.
How to install it
Fitting takes no tools. If the old hinge under the H key is split, remove its fragments; seat the one supplied, hold the new cap flat above it and press the middle — a click tells you it is held.
H key — questions
- Does this H keycap fit my Logitech MX Keys?
- It does, full-size or Mini: the H key has the same one-unit cap on all four models. Only the legend depends on the layout — QWERTY (IT) for this one.
- Is the hinge included with the H key?
- Yes: cap and hinge arrive together. The dome, the small rubber cup that makes the H key spring back, is not part of the order; the one on your keyboard is reused, and a spare dome can be ordered on its own.
- My H key still doesn't work after I replaced the cap — why?
- If the H key was unresponsive rather than physically broken, the fault usually lies in its scissor hinge, included here, or in the rubber dome underneath, sold separately. Replace the hinge first, then the dome if the H key still feels mushy.
Check your keyboard's brand
You are looking at a Logitech key. Keycap and hinge differ between brands: this key will not fit an Apple keyboard.
